FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-21-02 for certain Airbus A318s, A319s, A320s, A321s, A330-200s, -200 freighters, -300s, -800s, -900s, A340-200s, -300s, -500s, -600s and A380-800s, requiring replacing certain parts manufacturer approval nickel-cadmium batteries with serviceable batteries, or maintaining the electrical storage capacity of those PMA batteries during airplane storage or parking, effective Dec. 20, 2021.
