The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore will on Oct. 8 lift border restrictions for visitors from Australia, excluding Victoria State, and Vietnam. Applicants must have remained in either Australia or Vietnam in the last consecutive 14 days prior to their entry. They will undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival in Singapore and, if the result is negative, they will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapore, without need to stay at home.

Russia and Indonesia have amended their Memorandum of Understanding to adopt applications for airworthiness from 2002. This Memorandum enables cooperation and work on the new bilateral Working Agreement on Airworthiness Cooperation, which aims to support and simplify the validation of promising Russian aircraft exported to Indonesia. Since 2015, Rosaviation has been signing new and updating previously concluded agreements with aviation agencies of foreign importing states of Russian civil aviation equipment for cooperation in the field of certification and airworthiness.
Transport Canada has issued safety information bulletin CASA-2020-08 for De Havilland Aircraft of Canada DHC-8-400s regarding a number of reported occurrences of the forward cowl door departing from the aircraft on take-off following maintenance access to the powerplant area, resulting in damage to the wing leading edge, wing skin and vertical tail structure.
