FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-16-15 for all Pratt & Whitney PW1519Gs, PW1521Gs, PW1521GAs, PW1524Gs, PW1525Gs, PW1521G-3s, PW1524G-3s, PW1525G-3s, PW1919Gs, PW1921Gs, PW1922Gs, PW1923Gs and PW1923G-As, prompted by corrosion found on high-pressure compressor front hubs that could result in certain front hubs cracking before reaching their published life limit and requiring revisions to the airworthiness limitations section of the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness and air carrier's approved continued airworthiness maintenance programs to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, effective October 1, 2019.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-16-14 for all Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-As, -Cs, -Ds, -Es, -Gs and –Hs, requiring initial and repetitive inspections of the intermediate-pressure compressor stage 1 rotor blades, stage 2 rotor blades and shaft stage 2 dovetail posts and removing any cracked parts from service and revising certain re-inspection intervals, effective September 11, 2019.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-16-11 for certain Airbus A300 F4-600Rs, requiring repetitive high frequency eddy current inspections of the aft lower deck cargo door frame forks, a one-time check of the fork clearances, a one-time detailed visual inspection of hooks, eccentric bushes, and x-stops and corrective actions if necessary, effective October 2, 2019.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-14-08 for all Airbus A300-600s and A310s, requiring modifying the electrical routing installation at the right-hand and left-hand wings to achieve a minimum distance between wiring bundles and surrounding structures and, for certain airplanes, further modifying the electrical installations in both wings, as specified in an EASA airworthiness directive, effective October 2, 2019.
Transport Canada has issued airworthiness directive CF-2019-30 for Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34s, -34Bs, -34AGs, -114s and -114As, requiring determining if a compressor turbine vane, repaired in accordance with repair specification number STI 72-50-254, is installed on the affected engine and replace it with a serviceable non-STI repaired vane, and other actions, effective September 2, 2019.
