Aviation Technical Services announced a change of leadership on Dec. 4.
Robert Cords, a seasoned industry leader, replaced CEO Paul Dolan.
“On behalf of our entire board, I thank Paul for leading ATS through some of the most challenging times the industry has ever faced. We wish him and his family the best,” said Matt Yerbic, executive board chairman, in a statement.
Cords come to ATS from Wheels Up, the private jet charter company in which Delta Air Lines recently invested. He joined Wheels Up in July 2022 as executive VP fleet operations and infrastructure. Prior to that, he served in leadership positions, including president and board advisor, at MRO Holdings for six years. The seven years prior, he held leadership positions at StandardAero.
Dolan joined the MRO in 2016 as the company’s first chief commercial officer—a role designed to expand its integrated offerings on a global scale. He later became president and then was promoted to CEO in July 2021, when Yerbic left that role after 14 years to become chairman.
Before joining ATS, Dolan was vice president, commercial aerospace and military at Sequa/Chromalloy.
ATS provides airframe and component maintenance, engineering solutions and parts sales.
