The FAA is trying to improve the tools we need to operate our air traffic management system without having runway incursions. Let’s hope the effort pays off.

One tool that would help to reduce runway incursions is the anti-blocking circuit in ATC and aircraft radios.

NTSB engineers investigating the crash of Cape Air Flight 2072 calculated that if the pilot had maintained the same level of deceleration while remaining on the ground, the aircraft probably would have experienced little or no damage.
