PBGC cites underfunded pensions at Northwest, USAir, United
Three passenger airlines - Northwest, USAir and United - are among the 50 U.S. companies with the largest underfunded pension liabilities, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. said last week. UPS also is on the list, as are aerospace companies Rohr, Loral, United Technologies, Unisys and AlliedSignal.
