RACAL ELECTRONICS IS NEGOTIATING with Thorn EMI about the purchase of Thorn's sensor business. Acquisition of Thorn's radars, electronic countermeasures equipment and command and control systems would give the combined company about 150 million pounds ($241.5 million) in annual sales.
