Despite the return of commercial air traffic leading to recovery in the MRO sector, the aftermarket continues to face challenges due to factors that arose before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The region is facing economic issues due to inflation, labor shortages that were amplified by the pandemic and supply chain woes that the global aftermarket is all suffering from. Meanwhile, the knock-on effects from geopolitical conflicts with countries such as Russia and China may also be causing problems for MROs based in the Americas.
