
SR Technics, Garuda Indonesia Sign Engine Support Contract
PT Garuda Indonesia signed a multi-year engine support contract with SR Technics for the CFM56-7Bs powering its Boeing 737NG aircraft. Garuda Indonesia will send the engines to SR Technics’ facility in Zurich for MRO services.

Safran Nacelles Gets New Approval, Contracts
Safran Nacelles announced Sept. 20 that it had been granted Part 145 certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, which marks the start of activities at its nacelle repair site in Suzhou, China. The approval gives it the ability to offer nacelle and thrust reverser repairs for Airbus A330ceo and A320neo aircraft equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines. It says an inspection is already underway of its first nacelle from a Chinese airline.
The company also signed two NacelleLife contracts with Cathay Pacific, which cover support of thrust reversers for the airline’s Airbus A330ceos and nacelles for its A321neos, and a NacelleLife contract with Spring Airlines for the nacelles on the CFM International LEAP-1A engines powering its A320neos.

AFI KLM E&M Expands Airline Contracts
AFI KLM E&M announced extensions of contracts with two Asian airlines. South Korean carrier Air Premia added two new leased Boeing 787-9s to its long-term component support services contract with AFI KLM E&M.
Meanwhile, the MRO’s long-term engine support agreement with China Airlines now covers the GE90 engines powering four additional Boeing 777 freighters.

Malaysia Airlines, Spirit Sign Repair MOU
Malaysia Airlines and Spirit AeroSystems signed a memorandum of understanding to develop nacelle and flight control MRO services for Boeing 737NG aircraft. Malaysia Airlines says the partnership enhances its composite capacity and will enable it to perform off-wing repairs in-house.

Pratt & Whitney Plans Singapore Technology Accelerator
Pratt & Whitney announced plans on Sept. 20 to establish a technology accelerator in Singapore. The facility at Seletar Aerospace Park will accelerate the development and deployment of technology projects that will be used at the OEM’s four Singapore-based MRO facilities over the next five years, including areas such as automation, advanced inspection, connected factory and digital twins.

Revima Wins Luxair Landing Gear Deal
Luxair entered into a two-year agreement with Revima Asia Pacific covering landing gear MRO on its Boeing 737NG aircraft. The first overhaul under the agreement is scheduled to take place this month at Revima’s new facility in Bangkok, Thailand.

Safran Landing Systems Wins Cebu Contract
Cebu Pacific Air selected Safran Landing Systems to provide MRO services on 14 of its Airbus A320 aircraft. Under the deal, Safran Landing Systems’ Singapore repair workshop will perform services for the airline over the next three years.

ANA Becomes Launch Customer For New Boeing Predictive Maintenance Tool
Boeing announced that All Nippon Airways (ANA) would be the launch customer for its new cloud-based predictive maintenance tool, Insight Accelerator. The airline, which operates 787, 777X, 737 MAX and 737-8 aircraft, will use the platform’s artificial intelligence-driven algorithms to detect anomalies and take proactive maintenance actions to prevent unscheduled delays.

Topcast Signs Av-DEC Distribution Agreement
MRO and parts distributor Topcast signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Aviation Devices & Electronic Components (Av-DEC) Sept. 21. Under the agreement, Topcast will represent Av-DEC’s aviation corrosion prevention products to customers in Southeast Asia.

HAECO, ANH Structure Renew Partnership
HAECO Cabin Solutions has renewed its partnership with South Korean aerostructures and cabin interiors specialist ANH Structure. Under the agreement, the companies plan to collaborate on developing supplemental type certificate solutions in South Korea for airline customers on reconfiguration projects and to provide select joint technical and commercial proposals for reconfiguration projects applicable to Asian airline customers.

Cebu Pacific Chooses L3 Harris Flight Data Monitoring
L3Harris Technologies announced that Cebu Pacific Air had opted for its Flight Data Connect platform for flight data monitoring. It says the platform will enable Cebu to use its fleet data to analyze aircraft operational performance and identify safety risks, as well as take immediate action to improve safety, maintenance, efficiency, training and operations.
