The Pléiades Neo 3 captured the Singapore Central Business District in May. Launched in April 2021, the Neo 3 is part of the Airbus constellation of four identical satellites providing reactive tasking and intraday revisit of any point on Earth.

Airbus says the satellite can provide 30-cm resolution for precise large-scale mapping up to 1:2000 scale. The resolution is highlighted in this image of the Gardens by the Bay, showing the Supertrees in detail.

The Singapore Port is the world’s busiest transshipment hub. Airbus says the new constellation will also provide a higher geolocation accuracy and deeper spectral band information, allowing more insights to be derived for various applications.

Airbus launched its first of four Pleiades Neo 3 Earth-observation satellites to sun-synchronous orbit in April on a Vega rocket. The spacecraft is the company’s most advanced optical constellation that can operate in multiple spectral bands.
