James Fazio has become CEO of the Aruba Airport Authority, a Schiphol Group subsidiary that manages Reina Beatrix International Airport. He succeeds Peter Steinmetz, who has been named CEO of Stockholm Skavsta Airport. Fazio was chief operations officer of JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport and also a Schiphol subsidiary.
Neil Whiteman (see photos) has been named vice president/senior counsel for the New York-based FlightSafety Services Corp. He has been of counsel in the Washington office of law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and has been associate general counsel of Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. Tracey Clough has been promoted to director from manager of international teammate resources for FlightSafety International.
Chet Akiri has been appointed senior vice president/chief of corporate development for new ventures/strategy officer for the Houston-based Bristow Group. He was chief operating offcer for General Electric’s Global Nuclear Fuels America, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Jim Sokol has been named president of MRO Services for Timco Aviation Services, Greensboro, North Carolina. He was vice president-maintenance operations for Southwest Airlines.
Nick Hopkinson (see photo) has been appointed London-based director of cyber strategy in the U.K. for the Northrop Grumman Corp. He was head of global internal cyber security for the Computer Sciences Corp.
Marc Esposito has been named vice president-labor and values relations of JetBlue Airways. He was a partner in the Atlanta office of law firm Ford Harrison.
Dave Bibby has become vice president-engineering of Aspen Avionics Inc., Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was chief engineer for Honeywell Aerospace’s Flight Management Systems Center of Excellence.
Brian Walker has been appointed manager of customer experience for the service operation and Jessica Rowden general manager of the Albuquerque, New Mexico, location of Cutter Aviation. Walker was manager of aircraft services for the -McKinney/Addison facility in Texas. Rowden was general manager of the Colorado Springs location.
Dan Webster has become managing director of Melbourne-based Elbit Systems of Australia. He succeeds Shlomo Weizer, who has a new position at Elbit Systems. Webster was vice president-programs and had been director of services and support for Thales Australia.
Eric Boelzner has been named senior director for supply chain and production control for Jet Aviation St. Louis. He was senior manager of cost control for the Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. facility in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Sami T. Teittinen has been appointed CEO of Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Silver Airways. He was CFO and succeeds Dave Pflieger, who has been named president/CEO of Hawaii Island Air.
U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John F. Wharton has been appointed commanding general of the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. He was commanding general of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois.
Andrew Arcuri has been named New York-based assistant manager of the rapid response team for Duncan Aviation. He was a field service engineer-senior technical support specialist for Honeywell Aerospace.
