The new combined contract will operate from February 1, 2015 until January 31, 2017 and may be extended for a further period of a maximum of one year, following the initial two year period, subject to a satisfactory review undertaken after the initial period of 18 months of operation.
The US carrier confirms SkyWest has purchased seven E175s from the Brazilian manufacturer to fly on its behalf under a capacity purchase agreement (CPA). The first three aircraft will arrive in the summer of 2015 and will be used to introduce daily flights from Seattle to Milwaukee and Oklahoma City and from Portland to St Louis from July 1, 2015.
The news came after the low-cost carrier’s chief executive, Tony Fernandes, revealed the intent to resume the popular route via the social networking site, Twitter.

The new services to Heathrow Airport will bring the number of daily rotations on this route to up to five and will end the monopoly currently held by the oneworld alliance.

From May 4, 2015, SkyWest Airlines will introduce four times daily Delta Connection flights to Boise, Idaho and Sacramento, Calif, while seasonal daily flights to Ketchikan, Alaska and Sitka, Alaska will be added from May 15, 2015. The fifth new route to Denver will come online from June 5, 2015 and will be flown on a five times daily basis by Compass Airlines under the Delta Connection brand.
The new flight will launch from March 29, 2015 and will introduce a morning rotation to further support local and transfer traffic on the route. It will be operated using an Airbus A320 configured with 12 Business Class and 132 Economy seats.

easyJet launched flights from Belfast in September 1998 and currently operates a network of seasonal and year-round routes from Belfast to 24 different destinations. It will shortly introduce a new link to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland (from December 12, 2014) and will add a summer link to the Croatian city of Split from May 20, 2015.
The airline will operate the route from March next year and has linked it with the announcement of the new Darwin – Alice Springs route which was announced last month.
