The aircraft is the first of four A330-200s expected to be in service with Condor on a transitional basis for around two years as deliveries of the airline’s A330neos begin later in 2022.
The LCC is expecting to become an all-neo operator by 2027 once more new-generation aircraft are delivered by Airbus and its older A330s and A320ceos can be retired.
Destinations with high vaccination rates are an initial focus, while Australia’s flag-carrier is evaluating whether to operate scheduled service between London Heathrow and Darwin.
