Wizz Air has put the brakes on plans to increase capacity to 80% in the next quarter amid heightened travel restrictions across Europe. However, the Hungarian carrier’s UK subsidiary has signaled its intention to expand from Doncaster Sheffield, just weeks after announcing a new base at the airport.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will begin operations in October with an initial network of six routes, one of which will compete directly with Etihad and Air Arabia’s newly launched rival.

Central and Eastern European ULCC Wizz Air this week plans to restart selected routes from London Luton and Vienna, subject to no further government restrictions being put in place.
The SkyTeam member is opening flights from Seoul to Budapest in May, less than a year after LOT Polish Airlines began operating between the destinations.
