The Yorkshire airport has signed a long term deal with TUI UK and Ireland which will see the travel firm operating Thomson and First Choice holidays from the region.
The move to introduce these routes is part of the UK’s largest tour operator’s strategy to ensure customers across the UK can fly from their local airport. There are also frequency increases enabling customers more choice and the ability to book a mix of seven, ten, eleven or 14 night holidays rather than the existing week and fortnight options.
Budget carrier Wizz Air has introduced an extra 5,000 seats to its schedule at Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield for summer 2014 with the introduction of a third weekly rotation between April 17, 2014 and October 23, 2014 on its route from Wroclaw.
It has been a busy first quarter for Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport in the UK with new flights announced by Wizz Air to Bucharest and Riga and from Links Air to Belfast and the Isle of Man.
