The fragility of the recovery at UK airports was made evident again after a single air traffic control (ATC) officer’s illness caused multiple flights to be canceled at London’s Gatwick Airport.
Director of network and airports Neil Slaven says the LCC is making far more in-season network changes than it did previously, stressing that the airline is ready to respond to airports with the lowest costs.
The Hungarian ULCC’s UK subsidiary is beginning to ramp up London Gatwick operations and MD Marion Geoffroy believes the UK will be a major growth market over the coming years.
