UK regional carrier, bmi regional has appointed Jochen Schnadt as its chief commercial officer. Schnadt will be based at the airline’s East Midland’s headquarters and will be responsible for developing the airline’s commercial strategy along with overseeing a team of 35 staff within the marketing, sales, product development and customer service departments.
A senior airline and aviation executive and regular attendee of Routes Europe and World Routes, Schnadt brings 20 plus years of extensive experience to the airline predominantly from senior roles within the commercial, strategic, planning and operational areas of the aviation industry. Schnadt has previously held permanent and consultancy roles at Monarch Airlines, Aer Lingus Virgin, British Airways, and Flybe.
With a broad perspective of the entire industry, Mr Schnadt’s speciality is in the areas of revenue development, customer engagement and strategy development. “I am delighted to join the bmi regional team at this particularly interesting stage of the company’s development. On the back of the great bmi brand heritage, I am excited to work with the team on the multiple commercial and strategic opportunities that present themselves to a business-focused airline such as bmi regional,” he said.
