Taking place alongside World Routes in Durban on Sunday 20 & Monday 21 September, the World Routes Strategy Summit, sponsored by Oman Airports Management Company will see industry leaders engage in thought-provoking discussion that will set the commercial and political agenda for the aviation industry in the coming 12-18 months.
This year’s World Routes Strategy Summit will feature an on stage interview with Nico Bezuidenhout, Chief Eexcutive Officer, South African Airways and a presentation from Honourable Minister Richard Sealy, Minster of Tourism for Barbados and Chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
Honourable Minister Richard Sealy will later be joined on stage by Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive Officer, Ethiopian Airlines, whom he will interview for A day in the life of an airline CEO, a casual interview exploring the daily challenges he faces.
David Scowsill, President & CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council will deliver a Keynote address titled, Africa’s Future Travel Needs at the event and Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World will also deliver a Keynote Adress on the opening day.
The World Routes Strategy Summit is open to all attending delegates and will open the 21st World Route Development Forum which will take place in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, marking the first time the event will take place in Africa.
The event will bring industry thought leaders under one roof to participate in a number of discussions covering topics affecting the industry today, such as air service development, infrastructure, airline challenges and growth concerns, new technologies and best practices.
