Republic Airways Orders 37 GE Engines To Power E170/175 Fleet

GE Aerospace will be fulfilling orders for 37 CF34-8E engines for Republic Airways’ fleet of Embraer E170/175 regional jets.

The order, announced at the Paris Air Show, includes spares and an extension of the airline’s TrueChoice services agreement. 

Republic Airways is a US regional airline subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings that operates as American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express.

The Indianapolis-based airline has an all CF34-powered fleet. It operates 214 E170/175s and offers scheduled passenger service with nearly 1,000 daily flights to 80 cities in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.  

In addition, it was announced at the air show that Republic Airways joined Embraer’s Energia Advisory Group to advise the manufacturer’s Energia project, which is developing sustainable aircraft for the future.
