Lufthansa reported an €8 million (US$11.4 million)operating profit for the first half of 2009 as its revenues dropped by 15% to €10.2 billion. The result is a massive decline from the €705 million in the first half of 2008. The airline said the weakness, particularly in premium traffic, was difficult to counter.
