While Jetstar and Sunwing are resuming suspended routes, Porter Airlines has further delayed its planned restart and Norwegian is preparing to ground 15 of the 21 aircraft currently in operation.
The new weekly seasonal flight will commence from December 19, 2015 and will operate every Saturday through to April 30, 2016 and will act as an alternate access point into Orlando and the many attractions within its vicinity. It will be the third longest Dash 8 scheduled turboprop flight in the world.
The independent regional carrier is the fourth operator to announce the start of service at Pittsburgh International Airport within the past 12 months and will see Toronto introduced as the 50th non-stop destination served from Pittsburgh and the sixth international destination.
