The inaugural Routes Middle East & Africa is designed to build on the success of the regional Routes Africa 2014 event, and will take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from May 31 – June 2, 2015.

Routes Europe is the largest regional Routes event, and this year will be taking place in Aberdeen, Scotland from 12 -14 April 2015.

The national carrier of Bahrain has announced two new destinations to its network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, taking the number of Saudi Arabian cities served by the airline to six.

The Australian airline has finally retired all of its Boeing 767 aircraft following special flight QF767 from Melbourne to Sydney.

Routes Americas is the essential event for all aviation based companies who wish to conduct business to, from and within the region and will be taking place in Denver, Colorado, USA from 1 – 3 February 2015.

Thomas Cook Airlines UK is part of the Thomas Cook Group and operates over from 20 airports across the UK, carrying 6.7 million passengers to over 50 short-, medium- and long haul airports with over 200 holiday destinations including North America, the Caribbean Sea and India, as well as resorts across Europe.

The airline alleges that the behaviour of Swiss followed the early 2014 announcement that it had concluded an agreement through which United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrier Etihad Airways would acquire a 33.3 per cent stake in its business, subject to regulatory approval, and its rebranding as Etihad Regional.

Turkish based, SunExpress has announced a new route between London Luton and Izmir on Turkey’s Aegean coast.

The new Toronto - Delhi link is an example of a route made possible thanks to the excellent operating economics that modern generation airliners now offer and certainly would not have been able to be served on a sustainable manner using older aircraft types.

This decision, which has already been included in the strategic plans of LATAM Airlines Group for the future, will see TAM add between four and six new regional destinations to its network every year. easyJet has launched services from Aberdeen to Geneva. It is easyJet’s third route from Aberdeen Airport alongside London Gatwick and London Luton.

Since Etihad Airways commenced daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne in March 2009 the airline has carried more than 900,000 passengers on the route.

QantasLink has announced it will start flying to Whyalla next year, on South Australia’s Spencer Gulf coast commencing April 13, 2015.

The new service from Lufthansa’s hub in southern Germany will commence from January 1, 2015 and will provide fast and efficient access to the many nearby ski resorts. Whether it’s Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Zillertal, Kitzbühel, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental or other resorts in the Alps – as long as there is a helipad on site, customers will be able to choose their own destination.

bmi Regional has flown more than double the amount of charter flights this year in comparison to 2013.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) national carrier Emirates Airline is to introduce a third daily rotation on its route between Dubai International Airport and Birmingham Airport in the UK. The new flight, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER will commence from August 1, 2015, and opened for reservations earlier today (December 22, 2015).

The route, which will operate year-round from June 25, 2015, will allow Central New Zealanders to fly directly to Fiji.

In its documentation filed with the US DOT, Air Busan said it “might in the future offer service with other airplanes from its fleet, adjust its proposed service patterns, and introduce service to other points in the United States, including Hawaii and the US mainland”.
