Canada’s WestJet Group will shut down recently acquired Sunwing Airlines and incorporate its 18 Boeing 737s into WestJet mainline operations next year.
Sunwing Vacations and Sunwing Airlines will bring 18 Boeing 737s to the combined fleet, though initially the companies will continue independent operations.
While Jetstar and Sunwing are resuming suspended routes, Porter Airlines has further delayed its planned restart and Norwegian is preparing to ground 15 of the 21 aircraft currently in operation.
